We were invited to Mt High in Wrightwood for a day of skiing and lessons. Thanks to El Nino the conditions were perfect. We have done snow play before with the kids, but we haven't given them lessons for skiing. I set up the kids for skiing lessons and it was the best decision we have made. Kids like to argue with parents that they know what they are doing and don't really listen to us when we are teaching them. The instructors at Mt High know how to teach kids. They tell them key phrases to show them how to put their skis. My kids said they liked making a pizza with their skis. Plus with Mt High packages they make it easy to have everything ready for you.Read More

The holidays are coming and with the weather getting cold we are spending more and more time inside with the family playing board games and watching movies. A favorite recipe that I make to get my family into the holiday spirit is Christmas Pancake Snowballs. These are really easy to make with the Aunt Jemima products and you can even freeze them. We have them for breakfast and even dessert. I once made these for a potluck at my work and people were going crazy over them.Read More
We were so excited to that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exhibit is at Discovery Cube OC from now until January 16th. I was surprised how big the exhibit was and how much the kids had to do. Pictured above kids get to collect pizzas and launch them at the bad guys. Both my boys had a great time doing this. Their is a line for this and it tends to be a favorite for visitors. The launcher is easy to use, but little guys might need help. It was great watching kids help each other picking up the pizzas for the next player in line.Read More
