We were invited to A Faery Hunt, our first time going there! Of course had to get an outfit for my little girl to get in the spirit.
Missing Faery Light
As we winded our way up to the park it became clear we were in for a treat! Fairies were everywhere, in all sizes gathering in their finest ensembles displaying every color of the rainbow. And for what great event did they all come from near and far to behold? A FAERY HUNT, but of course! Gather some faery treats for we are about to embark upon an adventure to solve a mystery, where is the Queen Farey’s missing light?
This was our first encounter with this magically whimsical troupe , and were treated with an event like no other we have experienced. Ah to be a kid again, well they bring the out the young at heart in all let me just say. Our journey started along a dirt path led by our guide Auntie Angelica Root……
The story line of this interactive play is one of a mystery, to find out what happened to the Faery Queens Light. Adding players as the story line progresses, the play continues moving you around the park keeping the action and the little ones engrossed in the plot, with a new a surprise at each turn.
Upon collecting all the players of this fine winged group , the final missing Faery is revealed and the mystery is solved with a twist.
Faery Queen Royal Birthday Party
Upon entering the area of the Royal Queens party, we were given beautiful organza bags to collect treasures strewn among the forest floor. Behold, gems of all colors and sizes as well as sea shells and magic feathers, what a treasure of a keepsake for the little ones to take home! A bounty of snacks awaited us all, fruits, veggies, and sandwiches with refreshments were just what were in need after frolicking around the forest in search of the Queens light. With a renewed energy it was time to dance and celebrate with the faeries. We played games to lively music while other had their faces painted. To have the faeries walk among us for awhile more before they had to return to the forest was a splendid way to end the hunt.
Suitable for boys and girls it's recommended for ages 2-10. A truly charming spectacle to behold and share with the entire family! They also offer a cowboy Show as well in their repertoire along with other story lines. No detail is over looked from calling out the names of all the children in attendance at the onset of the hunt, to the players interaction with the children along the way.
It is a delightful event that the young innocent mind must find just magical!
A splendid option for a unique birthday, see A Faery Hunt web site for details. Today there were several celebrating during the Queens Celebration. Areas were set aside for those with birthdays, very clever and memorable I can only imagine. Their names were called out at the end of the hunt and the children were brought up front and sang to by the entire group, with each one being named.
Congratulations A Faery Hunt on your 10 Years, I wish you many, many more and thank you for having my daughter Lali and I, it was an enchanted treat for the senses and a pleasure meeting you all. All the best on the new adventures with…. A MERMAID’S TAIL Debuting in May! We can’t wait!
This was our first ever time experiencing an event of this kind and my daughter handled it very well. There were no loud sounds, the costumes were very sweet, nothing scary about them at all. The walking was minimal and every view was a front row seat to the performance. Check in was very simple, with the option to reserve your tickets in advance. Since there is no assigned seating (open air in the park setting) you are free to move about. Singing and laughing was done by all and at a very appropriate level for the outdoors and for children. My girl LOVED the experience, she was a bit tired at the end (I feel from all the excitement) and we left just before the end, but she is already asking to see A Mermaid Hunt.
