You know we love the outdoors and if you are like our family it is hard to get a date night in our schedule. That is why I think going on hikes is perfect for a date. With so many trails to choose from in Southern California you have a great mix of how complex or easy you want your hike to be. After all hiking is all about walking slowly and enjoying nature. You slow down your life and enjoy your surroundings.
These essentials can be found at your local Walmart in the Vitamins aisle and by the check out stand.
Mt. Baldy is perfect with a long chair lift ride to the top you have plenty of time to talk and cuddle. Hike around at the top and then have dinner at the restaurant on top or head down to the village. You can also take a side trip and visit the San Antonio Falls which is a very short hike.
The Marshall Canyon Trail in La Verne is mostly shaded and an easy hike for just a stroll. On your way up there is a tree with a heart shaped trunk and there is also a two person swing making great stops for kisses.
Big Dalton in Glendora is great for stater or advance hikers. With so many trails to choose from you can take a beautiful stroll at Big Dalton Canyon Trail which crosses streams and is an easy hike or the more complex hikes like Mystic Canyon and Colby Trail.
I chose Ventura Botanical Gardens because of its beauty in the plants you will pass along the way and the view of the ocean at every turn.
What Southern California Trail would you choose for a date?
