When we were invited to Great Wolf Lodge in Southern California we couldn't wait to check out their toddler pool. It is a zero-depth entry pool that is up to two feet deep by the slides in the back. There are fountains, sprays, and slides for the kids to play in. This area is gated so kids can't just run out. To get into the gate you have to pull up on the black lever. Little ones can't reach this lever which I am thankful for. There are chairs and tables inside this area and there are also cabanas for rent.
One thing I liked here versus other parks is they didn't kick my older son out. At other water parks I have been to it was difficult having both my boys in the same area. It was nice to have him there and play with his brother when we were together.
The play fountains was the perfect area for my oldest and youngest to play together. Once they figured out how to move the contraptions to make the water go a certain way they were tinkering with the fountains for a long time.
The life jackets are there for your convenience and I didn't put one on my youngest since I didn't feel a need to. I do recommend putting them on if you plan on letting your child go down the slides in the back on their own.
Their is a little slide at the front that even crawling babies will enjoy. In the back are bigger slides. The yellow slides your kids can partner up and race down together side by side. These one can go pretty fast for little ones. The red one is slower and for a single rider. At the end my son had to scoot his way out.
Another convenience is the restaurant Buckets Incredible Craveables being next to the Cub Paw Pool. They serve hamburgers, hot dogs, hearty sandwiches, and snacks like fruit, veggies, and hummus with pita chips. The bracelet room key can be used at the restaurant to pay!
This area is the perfect spot for any family with tykes!
