I love the Aquarium of the Pacific.as you can see my kids love it too!
Some advise - if going on a weekday do not go before noon - school field trips are usually there and your kids will have to push their way through an exhibit to see - not fun. After noon you have the place to yourself.
Now ways to save:
1 - On most Friday nights they have Shark Lagoon Nights from 6pm - 9pm = FREE
The public is invited to get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators at the Aquarium of the Pacific for FREE during Shark Lagoon Nights. From 6pm - 9pm. Guests will have the opportunity to touch bamboo sharks and see large sharks such as sandtigers as well as rays in the Aquarium’s Shark Lagoon.
Basically anything that is outside is open for you to explore.
Please note that while it is almost every Friday, some Fridays are excluded. Please check the dates for availability. Shark Lagoon Nights are weather-dependent and can be canceled due to inclement weather. Please call for more information.
2 - On most Sunday's the Aquarium of the Pacific has Discounted Late Nights from 5pm - 8:30pm = $14.95 each
3 - In September they have Seniors Day and anyone over the age of 50 get in FREE
We loved exploring the jelly fishes and you get to touch them! Don't rush through the exhibits!
My kids loved watching the penguins jump in and out of the water. This exhibit is outside.
As stated above it is best to go in the afternoon/evening. It tends to be less crowded and you don't have to fight your way through.
You can save money by packing your lunch and having a picnic outside at the light house, I got married there :)
