Knott’s Berry Farm for the Cure #KnottsPink

The opinions in this article are my own. I do not work for, or with, any brand mentioned in this article, nor do I have any official relationship with them.  I have a relationship with GigaSavvy, for whom I create original editorial content.

As someone who has lost friends and family members to breast cancer I love supporting Knott's Berry Farm for the Cure event.  As you walk into Knott's you are greeted with everything pink!  Stories of survivors and fighters of Breast Cancer.  When you purchase your discounted pink ticket at Knotts a portion will go to the Susan G Komen of Orange County.  The "Pink Ticket" and limited edition of "pink" t-shirt is available from now through March 18th.

These are the statistics about Latina Women (provided by Susan G Komen):

  • Breast Cancer is most common cancer among Hispanic/Latina women
  • Breast Cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in Hispanic/Latina women
  • Hispanic/Latina women tend to be diagnosed with later stage breast cancers than white women.  This means that they are less likely to get prompt follow-up after an ab-normal mammogram
