If you know Knott's they love their Halloween! We have done Knott's Scary Farm and can't wait for the kids to get older to experience that, but since they are too young still we love that Knott's has a family friendly alternative. Knott's Spooky Farm is great for the whole family. If your kids want to dress up they can and enjoy the park for the day with all the Halloween fun events. Knott's Spooky Farm is happening only on the weekends of October. We were invited to check out everything they have this year!
Make your way through Ghost Town at Knott's for Trick or Treating fun with the kids. Don't worry about bringing a bag as Knott's provides you with their own bag. In the bag you will get a map and schedule of all the activities along with a coupon for a shirt! Make sure that kids ring the door bell. Each door bell is different from wolves howling to a witches crackle laugh. My youngest got a little scared as you can see from the video, but he LOVED it. Kept looking behind the door to see what was back there.
The Spooky Hollow Maze in Camp Snoopy is located by the Camp Snoopy Theatre. This maze is kid friendly. A pumpkin will talk to the kids making them laugh and a giant spider will come down from the ceiling. Photo opportunities with the family along with a area where kids can decorate a pumpkin for free. Kind of like Mr. Potato Head. My son loved creating his monster pumpkin.
Activities in the barn in Ghost Town:
- Coloring pages of Snoopy Halloween
- Decorating Pumpkins (fee)
- Bean Bag Toss
- Watch It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! movie
- Meet and take pics with Peanut Characters
In the Camp Snoopy Theatre watch the Peanut Gang having fun with hits like Ghostbusters and Thriller. It is a nice break for the kids and I would suggest having a snack for them to eat and take a break from the sun. They have about three performance so look at the schedule and set a time to see the show.
The Ghastly Gallery in the Boardwalk Ballroom has another show, but from what I saw there was no set schedule. Just wait for the next performance in the hall meanwhile there is a photo op and an area where kids can create their spooky scene.
One of my favorite areas was the Dia de los Muertos celebration in the Fiesta Village. This is the perfect way to introduce your child to the celebration. Very vibrant area with activities and bring money for the shopping!!! Such cute items. See the video so you can see what you can purchase before you go!
We had an awesome day at Knott's Berry Farm. Have you ever been to Camp Spooky? What are you kids dressing up this year?
