The haunt is on! Knott's Scary Farm is better than ever this year with new mazes and the return of the very popular interactive Special Ops: Infected- Patient Zero. We attended the opening night and experienced it all. We made it out with only a few scratches....I'm sure we will be fine, right?
Running select nights now thru October 31st, here is a recap of what to expect and what we took away from our experience as well as tips on getting the most from your frightful visit. We were feeling a bit inspired during our visit with the 1000 monsters, zombies and maniacs check out what has possessed us for this gruesome season below.
If you only have one evening to experience all that is Scary Farm I highly recommend getting the Fright Lane Pass with the skeleton key. With 10 mazes half of which have special scare bonus rooms only accessible with a skeleton key, it's worth the extra cost to get the additional fun. The Fright lane pass cuts your waiting to almost nothing, so you can enjoy all the other shows, rides and have extra time just in case you get 'Hung" up in the fog.
Special Ops: Infected! Be sure to reserve your time, this is a highly popular activity. Get pumped, act fast and cover your squad, it's a zombie war zone and they come out at you from all directions. Pick up a reservation card near the Camp Snoopy fountain to get your return time.
The Hanging, mature audiences only for sure. Adult content very funny and the audience is a part of the entire show. Check show times and get a good spot front and center of the stage. Located in Calico Ghost town directly in front of the railroad station.
My Bloody Clementine at Calico Mine Ride was just freaky. It keeps you searching the dark caverns for evil at every turn, they are out to add a few more victims so be careful and hold on to your loved ones.
We were super impressed and have to say one of our fav's was the new Paranormal Inc. maze, it just got freakier as it went on. Among our other top pics were VooDoo - Order of the Serpent (the skeleton key room was super cool) and the ever popular Tooth Fairy. If you are in between mazes or a show, the fog is always waiting with a few twisted characters to misguide you.
