It's been awhile since we have been to Knott's. It's officially summer vacation for us making it the perfect time to check out everything new at the park. With the latest addition of the 4D ride Voyage to the Iron Reef, Blockbuster Snoopy! Snoopy on Ice and the new Vertical Impact Shows, there is a lot to experience for any age and interest. Add all that to the classic family fun rides, shows and attractions, we were in for one extremely fun packed day to say the least!
We started out our day by hitting Voyage to the Iron Reef, the 4D effects were really, really good! The ride is so smooth you get lost in the crazy graphics coming at you from every direction, we liked it so much we went back for a second try at defeating the Kraken queen! Having a fast pass made for a short wait time both times we rode, an option well worth getting during the peek summer months.
Blockbuster Beagle! Snoopy on Ice is the newest show for summer at the Charles. M Schultz Theatre. Such an impressive and entertaining show, I am always amazed on how they just keep getting better by the year. With the amazingly talented skaters and the chart topping music, you won't want to miss this action packed performance plus it's a great way to beat the summer heat between rides. Check here for showtimes.
Vertical Impact and Vertical Impact- Geared Up! The latest extreme shows are all that and more. The performers are amazing athletes, delivering non stop action paired with the latest music, all I can say is don't miss these shows. You can find it smack dab in Calico Square across from the Calico Railroad.
With the new ride and exciting new shows there is so much to see and do at Knott's this summer, we had the best time as a family. My girl loved Camp Snoopy last year and was limited by her height for some rides in the park. Now that she can go on the bigger rides we explored a lot more of the park this time. The sidewinder, Jaguar and Pony Express were all new for us! And we loved them all!
Oh and try your skills out at laser tag. It's a classic hide and seek game with a totally high tech upgrade that the entire family will love. So need to check this out next time, thinking a season pass in our future since there is just so much you can see and do in a day.
Verdict: My girls favorite part of the day....Blockbuster Snoopy! Snoopy on Ice. She could have stayed and watch it all day. I enjoyed the Voyage to the Reef, I'm always up for a little friendly competition.
