What great fun Pretend City is! Imagine an indoor city complete with a post office, library, doctors office and even a water play area and performance stage just the perfect size for those under the age of eight. Pretend City offers hours of entertainment for the little ones. It is a great educational opportunity for kids to exercise their imaginations in a safe, clean and friendly environment.
We were invited to celebrate the changeover of one section of Pretend City- the Pretend Cafe´- into Pizza 900. The Pretend Cafe´ offers kids a chance to create their own meals in the kitchen and serve it to guests in a restaurant style environment. For this makeover into the Pizza 900 restaurant, little chefs can put on an apron or a chefs hat and create their own pretend pizza! Just like the real Pizza 900 restaurant, there is even a "wood fire" stove in which to place the pizzas. This is pretend play at its finest! My four year old absolutely had a blast creating her own pizza and serving it to me in the cafe´ dining area. The dining area housed several tables and even some cardboard boxes for orders to go.
Chef Ebnryousef is the Chef/Owner of Pizza 900 Cafe´ in Laguna Hills. He has a passion for pizza and for education. His adorable daughter was on hand to help open the partnership between Pizza 900 and Pretend City on July 17, 2015. Pizza 900 uses quality ingredients that are able to stand out by themselves so that the pizza is not overloaded with too many flavors. The result is delicious, crisp crust pizza (thanks to the wood fired oven) and melty flavorful cheese. We were treated to a slice of this tasty pizza at the opening and found it to be amazing. My four year old even ate all the crust!
Pretend City and the Pretend Cafe´ in Irvine are open 10am to 5 pm Tuesday- Sunday and 10am to 1pm on Mondays. Admission is $12.50 for adults and children over 1 year old.
The real Pizza 900 Cafe´ is located just down the street from Pretend City at 23020 Lake Forest Drive in Laguna Hills.
