We went this past Saturday to check out Titanic the Experience in Buena Park. I was very surprised how much I enjoyed this.
As you go through the exhibits there are "passengers" that will greet you and describe their living conditions in the ship, if they survived, what they experienced, and facts about the Titanic.
Please don't just zoom by them as so many I saw. Stop by and ask questions! That is what they are there for and believe me we grilled them and they stayed in character and were very informative.
Facts I learned from these ladies were:
- The artifacts can only be taken if they are away from the ship.
- This exhibit will constantly change since there is so many items that they have collected they will rotate the artifacts. So come back and visit again and again!
- A First Class ticket price then $4,350.00 in today's money $50,000!!!! That is extreme and I have never seen any tickets being sold in current times for that much. Plus most of them took their own servers which they had to pay for also.
Pictured on top is an iceberg that you can touch and feel how cold it was. Put your whole palm down to really feel the temp! This is why I loved this place, I felt really connected with everything and at times emotional for the lives lost. Like I said above please take your time throughout the exhibit. I saw so many just rushing through it all.
At the beginning of the tour they provide you with a boarding pass that gives you information on your character and then at the end of the exhibit you check to see if you survived. I was so excited that I did survive that I startled a couple.
